Mike King joined active duty in 1996 and served 3 years as a tanker at Fort Knox, KY. He then joined the MN National Guard serving from 1999-2004 as a tanker and he deployed to Bosnia for 9 months. Mike took a break in service until 2010 when he joined the MN National Guard again and deployed to Iraq as a route clearance truck commander.
Mike currently works full time in the MN Army National Guard as a training NCO for a tank unit. He has been married for 15 years and has a 10 year old daughter. He helped get MMC going because of the comradery he felt from being involved in Operation Muskie where he met Matt and Todd. He gets great satisfaction in other Veterans being able to have time to heal, meet new friends and be able to talk about some of the things that have happened to them with other people who know what they have been through. Mike was given an opportunity for a once in a lifetime trip and wants to extend this to as many other Veterans as possible.
